We study the logics and biological impacts of gene silencing by RNA on the regulation of genes in development, physiology, and cancer.
Small non-coding RNAs such as microRNAs and siRNAs control gene expression by a diversity of mechanisms that affect messenger RNA transcription, translation, and stability. We integrate a full range of experimental strategies and models to understand how they function and how their defects lead to cancer.
