Aristophane Chay, a second-year PhD student in the Department of Biochemistry, received the Donner Studentship and Canderel Travel Awards through the Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute (GCI) internal studentship competition this year. The Donnor Studentship Award, made possible by the Donner Foundation, is designed to support outstanding PhD students pursuing research on the genetics of cancer initiation or progression at the GCI.

On December 5th, the Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute (GCI) held its annual Research Day: a scientific conference celebrating research excellence at the GCI and in the Montreal cancer research community. The event was an inspiring day of sharing trainee-led science through 3-minute thesis presentations, short talks and poster presentations.
