Application formYour application will consist of 4 separate files:A) Application:
Title Page that includes candidate's name, graduate status, current supervisor, and project title.
A detailed summary of candidate's proposed research project - The summary must be written by the candidate and should not exceed 2 pages.
1-3 reference letters, to be sent by the referee(s)
C.V. (including a list of publications)
A copy of academic transcripts. PhD and PDF applicants do not need to submit undergraduate transcripts.
Reprints/preprints of candidate's two most important papers, if applicable.

pages.

 Attachment #2- Lay Summary

In a single pdf file named: Last name_First name_LaySummary

Please include a lay summary of your project. This document should

include your short title, why the project interests you, what you hope to

achieve and the project's potential impact. Approximately 200 words.

 Attachment #3- Headshot

Please include a high resolution (300 dpi) picture of yourself that the GCI

will be allowed to publish if you receive the award. This picture does not

have to be a lab picture.

 Attachment #4- Statement of Release

Please upload a note giving the GCI permission to announce and publish

your picture on the website and social media in the event of receiving an

award.

Example:

I (INSERT NAME), give the GCI and McGill University permission to

publish your picture and or name in the event of receiving an award.

Signature + date.

 Please provide proof that you have applied for other sources of funding in the past year. (Proof can come in the form of an e-mail confirmation for a funding application).
